94XPOSED MONDAY NOVEMBER 28TH
Matt Cameron – The Pearl Jam drummer is 49. He’s also played with Soundgarden and Wellwater Conspiracy.
PEARL JAM - CORDOUROY "Volbeat has decided to part ways with Thomas Bredahl. Being in a band is in many ways similar to a marriage with ups and downs. At times you can work it out and sometimes you need to go separate ways... We want to thank him for the work he has put in for Volbeat and we wish him all the best in the future. Volbeat will play all shows as announced, either as a trio or with a replacement guitarist. Right now we’ll take a well deserved break and we will be back on the road in January, ready to rock the Gigantour and Wacken." Volbeat''s Live From Beyond Hell/Above Heaven was released on November 25th on Ltd. 2DVD + 1CD, 2DVD, Blu-Ray, CD and 3LP. ------------------------BREAK-----------------------------
AC/DC’s iconic “Back In Black” is featured in a new commercial for Walmart. The song’s use was tied in with Black Friday, while the ad promotes pre-holiday shopping in general. No word on why AC/DC licensed the song for the huge retailer, although the band did sell its 2008 “Black Ice” album exclusively through the company, so there is a shared, recent history between the two. AC/DC have licensed songs for commercials before, selling everything from mobile phones to shoes to retailer Target.
AC/DC - BACK IN BLACK Seether Grabbed top spot in a poll asking fans which Rock album was the best of the year! Seether and their frontman Shaun Morgan took over rock radio in 2011 with their album 'Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray.' The disc produced two monster singles: 'Country Song' is a rocking tune with some Nashville elements, while 'Tonight' may be Seether's most melodic single to date. Overall, the album offers up a collection of impassioned, hard-rocking tunes, making it Loudwire's Top Rock Album of 2011. Rounding out the Top 5 Best Rock Albums of the year, 2. Evanescence 3. Foo Fighters - Wasting Light 4. RHCP - I'm With You 5. Rise Against - Endgame ------------------------BREAK-------------------------- Niji Entertainment Group, the label launched by Ronnie James Dio prior to his death, will mine the vaults of material for some special releases in the coming months. The very first Elf album will be reissued as a deluxe numbered picture disc on December 13th. It will be followed by a “Master Of The Moon” deluxe numbered picture disc coming March 13th.
