TRAGICALLY HIP - THE LONELY END OF THE RINK
NINE INCH NAILS - THE PERFECT DRUG
Trent has had a change of Heart! NIN WILL ROCK ON IN 2010!!!!! Happy holidays everyone and thank you for an exceptional year! Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I've been working on not working for a couple of months, which for me is hard work. 2010 has a number of things planned including new material from nine inch nails and something else that isn't nine inch nails. I am in a state of rediscovery and reinvention that feels unfamiliar, unsure and exactly what I need. In the meantime, here are some miscellaneous performances from 2009. See you and speak to you soon - Trent

AC/DC may have to cancel a sold-out concert because their big sound supposedly poses a danger to rare birds. Animal rights campaigners are threatening legal action if the veteran band goes ahead with a gig planned for Wels airport in Austria in May. Hans Uhl of BirdLife said birds nesting in the area at the time would be threatened by anthems such as Highway To Hell and You Shook Me All Night Long.
AC/DC - ROCK N' ROLL AIN'T NOISE POLLUTION
METALLICA - FUEL
Metallica's Lar Ulrich suffers the ear condition known as tinnitus. Lars spoke with CNN Yesterday about his condition. Early in his career, without protection for his ears, the loud noise began to follow Ulrich off-stage. "It's this constant ringing in the ears," Ulrich said. "It never sort of goes away. It never just stops." Except the ringing is not spurred by actual sound. It is a condition called tinnitus, a perception of sound where there is none. "It's a phantom auditory sensation like phantom limb pain when an arm is cut off, and you feel pain in that missing limb," said Richard Salvi, a leading tinnitus expert and director of the Center For Hearing and Wellness at the University at Buffalo in New York. "Much the same seems to happen when you have tinnitus." I guess that could be used as an excuse for the horrendous Drumming on Some Kind Of Monster.......

Now that the Salvation Army has had some time to count all the final donations, the Kettle Campaign total for 2009 has officially topped a quarter of a million dollars! Pastor Bruce Kirk says the final tally puts the total from the campaign at $252 thousand, a new record high, up $20 thousand over last year. The Salvation Army is issuing a heart felt thank you to all who donated dollars and to those who donated their time to man the kettles over the season to reach this milestone.
It's true! When a problem or charity arises here in PG, the residents stand up and say, "We're Not Going To Take It!" and they band together to make it right, and that is exactly what happened with the kettles this year!
