Corey Taylor‘s 9-year-old son Griffin has what his father tells Loudwire is “an incredible ear for singing,” but don’t look for him on a stage or in a recording studio anytime soon. “He already has the bravado,” said Taylor with a laugh when asked if his son might front his own bands someday. “It is pretty crazy. He wants to be an adventurer. That’s what he tells me. He runs around the house singing and writing songs. But he says he doesn’t want to do anything in music. We’ll see when he gets a little older.” Taylor says he would almost rather his song didn't get into the music business so that he wouldn't have to deal with his father's shadow. “I’m honestly not trying to push him away from music but I almost want him to do something else. I never, ever want him to suffer in my shadow. I never want him to be in a position where he’s constantly compared to me,”

ALICE IN CHAINS - WOULD

The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is doing something out-of-the-box when it comes to the usually droning airport announcements welcoming you to the city and casually reminding you about what you can and cannot do at the airport. The airport is launching a multi-channel program starring some of the most popular musicians and celebrities in the Northwest music mecca. Grunge legend Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, singer Ben Gibbard of alternative band Death Cab for Cutie, hip-hop personality Macklemore and more have taped PSAs to notify travelers about the airport’s policies. Cantrell’s PSA broadcasts the airport’s no-smoking policy: “This is Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains reminding you that smoking is allowed on the lower drive outside the building and only in designated areas … Bummer, dude.” Next step? Replacing all urinal cakes with cakes that have Courtenay Love's face on them. I'd fly to Seattle just to pee on her!
