94XPOSED WEDNESDAY JUNE 30TH

New Rock Wednesday on 94Xposed! Ill be debuting 2 brand new tracks for you today. One from a Canadian Band called My Darkest Days, who just released a track with Zakk Wylde (Former Axeman for Ozzy, current axeman for Black Label Society). And Ill end the show with a brand new Canadian band called Jonas and the Big Attraction and their new single Big Slice. Both songs are wicked rockers and perfect summer tunes! We kick off the show today with Canadians My Darkest Days!
The world doesn’t yet belong to My Darkest Days, but they’ve come a long way since singer/guitarist Matt Walst, drummer Doug Oliver and bassist Brendan McMillan started the band, equally influenced by hard rock groups like Nirvana, Tool and Deftones, along with the songwriting approach of the Beatles, in the small town of Norwood, Ontario, where they grew up. Walst got a first-hand glimpse at what it takes to succeed from his older brother Brad, bassist and co-founder of platinum rock band Three Days Grace, which helped when the group set out to record their debut, self-titled Mercury Records album.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH - BAD COMPANY

Five Finger Death Punch needed a song to fill out their live set back when they were headlining with just one album, so the band decided to cover the Bad Company classic "Bad Company". But the tune became so popular with fans that the group finally decided to record it for its sophomore effort, "War Is The Answer". "Bad Company" is currently a Top 10 hit on the rock radio charts. The video for "Bad Company" was filmed during the band's recent overseas trip to perform for U.S. troops stationed in Iraq, and is described as "a salute to the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our freedom." Five Finger Death Punch will participate this summer in the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, beginning on July 10 in Devore, California. Unfortunately their hometown of Vancouver was left off the tour this year.

The new game will also feature a story-driven quest mode which is voiced by Kiss's Gene Simmons and a new guitar controller.

ARCADE FIRE - REBELLION (LIES)

Lots of bands get the chance to play live TV at some point in their career, but a very elite group have been booked to play on The Daily Show. Arcade Fire will join their ranks on Aug. 12, a week after their newest album, The Suburbs, drops. "Exciting news - we're playing The Daily Show with John Stewart on August 12th!!!" the band tweeted on Tuesday (June 29). Coldplay performed on The Daily Show in 2008. Ringo Starr, Tom Waits, The White Stripes, Bruce Springsteen and Tenacious D have also been on Jon Stewart's widely watched comedy news show.

Montreal is a hotbed for talent these days and Jonas & The Massive Attraction are no exception. Through their commanding live performance and blue collar work ethic, the band aims to follow in the footsteps of such great acts as Arcade Fire, Simple Plan, Sam Roberts and Beast, who have gone on to national and international success. With the release of their forthcoming new album also entitled “Big Slice” in August, Jonas & The Massive Attraction will dig deep to continue that trend. With a killer live band, a broad fan base and two strong selling Cd's & live DVD's to their credit, Jonas & The Massive Attraction are poised to make a major impression across Canada and around the World in 2010 with their new album and single "Big Slice."
