SMASHING PUMPKINS - DISARM

Those picking up the Smashing Pumpkins reissues this week are finding there’s even more material available. According to the band’s website, fans will get five free unreleased demo tracks for download in return for orders of the “Gish” and “Siamese Dream” reissues. Those demos includes “Drown,” “Suicide Kiss Geek,” “Barb Wire,” “Rhinoceros Version 2,” and one new exclusive – the “Frail And Bedazzled Instrumental.” Both releases, available now, also come with bonus material including full live concerts from Chicago’s Metro during the era in which the band were supporting the respective albums.

It’s been a week filled with news of split-ups in the world of rock — the latest comes in the form of an actual divorce as oppose to a bend member leaving though. Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin filed for divorce from his model wife Jessica Nicole Scantlin according to TMZ. The couple tied the know in 2008, and Scantlin has previously called her his muse — citing her as the inspiration for multiple songs. Puddle of Mudd is currently touring in support of ‘Re: (disc)overed’ — a collection of classic rock covers by the band.

The Black Keys’ new album, “El Camino,” doesn’t arrive until next Tuesday, but the band are giving fans a solid preview by making five songs available for listening in return for an e-mail address. The songs include their current chart-topping single “Lonely Boy,” and the recent Record Store Day b-side “Run Right Back,” as well as three previously unheard tracks. They include the glam-influenced “Gold On The Ceiling,” the epic, style-shifting “Little Black Submarines,” and the nighttime vibe of “Sister.” Check out all five tracks
