2001 – Drummer Peter Criss left the KISS tour, with Eric Singer announced as his replacement.

OZZY - LET IT DIE

Ozzy Osbourne canceled a show in Reno, Nevada, Sunday night due to a "sudden illness," the concert promoter said. "Based on advice from doctors, it is with great regret that Ozzy Osbourne is postponing his show ... at the Reno Event Center," Chris Martinez with Live Nation said in a statement. "The multi-platinum Rock & Roll Hall of Famer cannot perform ... due to a sudden illness." I always get a little bit scared when I hear that Ozzy is sick or has to postpone a show. It always seems like the Prince Of Darkness is just one missed show away from meeting his maker! We wish The Ozzman all the best!

Like with most of Tool’s albums, it will come when it comes. However, Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor confirmed to Australia’s Triple J that it is in the works. Carey went a step further stating that they hope to have the new record out by the end of the year, but there’s still not a title for the disc. He added, "That’s usually the last thing that happens and we argue about that while we’re making the final master of the record. We don’t even have names for the songs until then."

Kurt Cobain once tried to get one of his songs featured in cult '90s cartoon The Ren & Stimpy Show - according to one of the voice actors who starred in it. Billy West, who provided the voice of the feline simpleton character Stimpy, has claimed that the Nirvana frontman showed up at the Los Angeles offices of Spümcø, the animation company behind the show. "One day, this scraggly kid came in and said he wanted to write a song for Ren & Stimpy," he said on podcast Nerdist, "and it was Kurt Cobain." West's account hasn't been verified by anyone who knew the late singer/guitarist, but whether it was indeed him or not who showed up, the "scraggly kid"'s song was rejected by the show's chiefs. "They [TV bosses] said, 'Yeah, that's great,'" West explained, "and they threw it in the wastebasket".

1976, Abba knocked Queen from #1 on the U.K. singles chart with "Mamma Mia." Queen's single "Bohemian Rhapsody" had enjoyed a nine week run atop the charts. Ironically, "Bohemian Rhapsody" contains the famous "oh, mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go" line.
